Most summer programs throw you into games and figure out the rest as they go. We do the opposite. Before you compete in a single ACDL game, you get measured, completely, and that profile becomes the plan for everything that follows. We move through the whole group fast, so nobody is stuck waiting to get started.
Why we start with data
You cannot build a real plan off a guess. Two pitchers can throw the same velocity for completely different reasons, and two hitters can post the same exit velo with totally different swings. The only way to train the actual athlete in front of us is to see what is really happening: where your force comes from, how your body sequences, and where the leaks are. That is what the intake is for.
What we measure
Every athlete runs through the same assessment on the tech that drives modern development:
- TrackMan. Pitchers throw a bullpen on the same radar pro clubs use. We log velocity, spin, movement, release height, and extension, so we know exactly what your pitches are doing, not what they feel like they are doing.
- Force plates. The mound and the gym read ground reaction force, the push into the ground that actually creates velocity and power. Force-plate jump testing shows us how you produce force and where you are leaving some on the table.
- Markerless motion capture. A full 3D capture of your delivery and swing, frame by frame, so we can see your sequence and timing without strapping anything to you.
- High-speed video. Slow-motion from the angles that matter, catching the details the naked eye misses.
- Hitting assessment. Hitters get the same treatment in the cage, with swing and batted-ball data captured the same way, so the plan is built on real numbers and not a hunch.
What you walk away with
Your intake is not a number you forget by next week. You leave with:
- A markerless 3D biomechanics report on your delivery or swing
- A written breakdown of what the data actually says
- A sit-down with a coach to go through all of it
- Everything loaded into the ASP Boost app, on your phone, for the whole summer
Then we build your summer on it
This is the part that makes the ACDL different. That baseline is what we use to write your entire program: the lifting, the throwing, the skill work, and how your games and workload get managed. Nothing over the summer is random, because all of it traces back to what we found at intake. At the end, we test again and show you exactly what moved.
Measure first, build second, prove it last.
